Spend a mere five minutes at the Pool at Harrah’s on a Saturday night and there’s no question the Atlantic City club is a haven for mingling singles. Though Atlantic City gets a rep more for its casinos and outlet malls -- and shuttered Trump hotels -- those aspects often overshadow AC’s role as a playground for the unattached.
In a new ranking from Travel + Leisure, Atlantic City was named among the best cities in America for singles. The list is a mix of vacationland destinations like AC, Provincetown, and Las Vegas, but also mingled with some locations that could be ideal for singles in the real world, from Ann Arbor, MI to Nashville, TE.

On a five-point scale, Atlantic City scored a 4.83 on the good-for-singles scale. Scores were measured by the votes of the most avid Travel+Leisure readers. The list is part of this year’s America’s Favorite Places survey, which continues to periodically roll out new rankings based on reader votes.
Travel+Leisure writes its readers “love the party town for its fun-filled opportunities, including sunbathing on beautiful beaches, walking the iconic boardwalk, and dancing the night away at high-end clubs and bars. Fittingly, readers also voted the city a favorite destination for girlfriend getaways.”
