Art Star Craft Bazaar, the local curated craft fair with tons of local and national vendors, won't return to its usual fall location at the 23rd Street Armory this year. Instead, it will expand to the Simeone Foundation Automotive Museum in Southwest Philadelphia for two days of early holiday shopping on Saturday, Nov. 7 and Sunday, Nov. 8.
The Automotive Museum is host to a star-studded vintage racing car collection, the perfect backdrop for a selection of over 70 art and craft vendors, both returning favorites and newbies. New to the scene is the hilarious Snarky Scouts from Maryland who create ironic vintage merit badges and watercolor paintings from Philadelphia brand Song + Dance Design. Stained glass marionettes by Le Puppet Regime, jewelry from Interstellar Love Craft and iPhone amplifiers by Audio Tree will all be back.

Victory Brewing Company, PB and Jams, Sweetbox Cupcakes, Weckerly’s Ice Cream, Reanimator Coffee, Oink & Moo BBQ and Sum Pig Food Truck will be on hand all weekend for hungry shoppers, with more food vendors joining throughout the bazaar. Cut + Paste and Love Me Do Photography will have photo booths available for guests Saturday and Sunday, respectively. Plus, an array of make-and-take booths will be open if you're feeling inspired: Little Chair Printing’s Bicycle Screen Printing Shop, Spin Art with Portside Arts Center and festive pom-pom making with Craft Space.
It'll cost just $3 to get into the fair and the museum for the day (the museum usually costs $12) and there will be limited free parking available. Otherwise, cars are welcome to park at the museum for $5 all day. Those who sign up for Uber can also get a free ride to the event up to $20 with code ARTSTAR15. The event is rain or shine, so be prepared.
