Arrest made in Broad St. hit-and-run

NBC10 is reporting that Philadelphia police have arrested a woman in connection with a hit-and-run that injured a Broad Street pedestrian Friday.

A 34-year-old man was sitting on the southeast corner of Broad Street waiting for his SEPTA bus to arrive when he was struck by a car around 2:30 a.m., said police.

The driver, later identified as Ashley Ditzler, allegedly fled the scene, but police located the vehicle involved in the crime: a 2008 Black Kia Optima in the 1500 block on W. Diamond Street.

Ditzler, 27, has been charged with aggravated assault, simple assault and driving under the influence.
