Grocery store chain A&P has decided to sell off all of its remaining stores by September, a change from its previous plan to sell around a third of them.
The chain filed for bankruptcy in July, the second time it has gone bankrupt since 2010. It planned to shut down 25 stores and sell 120 stores.

Having received bids for 118 stores, Newsday reported, the company has decided to sell off the 153 stores that remain.
The deadline to submit a bid is Sept. 11, and the stores will be auctioned off on Sept. 24 and 25. A&P operated stores under the following brands: A&P, Waldbaum's, Pathmark, Super Fresh, Food Basics, The Food Emporium, Best Cellars and A&P Liquors.
Acme plans to buy 76 stores in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania and Delaware. The Philadelphia Business Journal reported that the store shutdowns will affect 151 workers in Philadelphia and 867 in New Jersey.
The stores closing in Philadelphia are the Super Fresh at 1851 S. Christopher Columbus Blvd. and the Pathmark at 840 Cottman Ave.
