Starting on Saturday, Jan. 16 the Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University will present a three-day show on animal mythology. During the event guests will learn about the real animals that inspired mythical and legendary creatures around the world, such as the Sasquatch.

Each of the three days will offer the same series of events, so guests can choose whether Saturday, Sunday or Monday fits into their schedule best.

There will be a live animal presentation at 11 a.m. or 3 p.m. each day and the "Bugs on the Big Screen Show" at 1 p.m. which lets guests meet bugs from popular TV shows, books or movies. Story time, featuring a live animal, starts at 2 p.m.

During the animal mythology weekend, there will also be activities that can be enjoyed anytime during the day. Guests will be able to use tools and techniques that monster hunters use when on the prowl, as well as, hear true tales about real animals that inspired the greatest mythical creature legends.

There will also be a craft that kids can take home where they can create their own monster or mythical animal.
