Comedian Amy Schumer clarified on Thursday that her Comedy Central show "Inside Amy Schumer" is not finished after previously suggesting as much on social media.
The confusion began after a controversy regarding one of the show's writers, comedian Kurt Metzger, and his statements about sexual assault.
Metzger drew heat for social media posts that criticized a comedy group from banning a performer because of rape accusations, casting doubt on the allegations.

This prompted many to direct their attention toward Schumer, who has been a vocal advocate for sexual assault victims. Schumer said she was "disappointed" in Metzger in a tweet and subsequently clarified that he doesn't write for the show because "we aren't making the show anymore. There are no writers for it."
I didn't fire Kurt. He isn't a writer for my show because we aren't making the show anymore. There are no writers for it.

The tweet led many to believe that Schumer had decided to stop doing the show or that it had been canceled. However, on Thursday, she said what she meant was that she isn't currently doing the show, as she is touring.
#InsideAmySchumer is not cancelled. @ComedyCentral has provided us with a wonderful home and we couldn't be happier there. I am just touring
