The crash occurred just before 7:40 a.m. Monday at Fox Street and Hunting Park Avenue.

The ambulance was transporting a female patient with its lights and sirens on when it collided with a minivan, officials said. The woman was taken in another ambulance to Temple University Hospital in stable condition.

The minivan's passengers – three children, their father and grandmother – were taken to Einstein Medical Center in stable condition, officials said.

The two fire service EMTs in the ambulance were also taken to the hospital for observation.
