Amazon is hiring on the spot today, Aug. 2, for new employees to work in its New Jersey warehouses, dishing out a total of 1,500 jobs.
The New Jersey hirings will be just one of many going on throughout the country as Amazon looks to further expand its footprint and reach an additional 100,000 new Amazon workers by the middle of 2018.

Though there are no similar job fairs in Philadelphia this time around, rumors have circulated regarding a new Amazon warehouse possibly coming to West Philadelphia in the space at 4100 Chestnut. So, while there aren’t any Philadelphia job fairs today in the Amazon hiring blitz, it looks like there could be some headed to West Philly – just beside Penn – in the somewhat near future.
