A Montgomery County man faces charges after prosecutors say he posted an online ad seeking sex and travelled to meet with a person he thought was a teenage girl.

The Pennsylvania Attorney General's Office announced Friday that 42-year-old David M. Chandler of Telford Borough is in custody following a sting operation.

Prosecutors say undercover agents posing as a 13-year-old girl responded to Chandler's ad which sought a sexual relationship.

Chandler allegedly messaged the agents with sexually explicit language, telling them he was looking for a "sex slave."

He drove to Lehigh County to meet with the girl Wednesday, according to authorities, but was met by agents who arrested him.

Chandler has been charged with two counts of unlawful contact with a minor and one count each of criminal attempt to commit involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, criminal attempt to commit aggravated indecent assault and criminal use of a communication facility.

He's been jailed at Lehigh County Prison in lieu of $100,000 bail and a preliminary hearing is set for Jan. 13.

The Attorney General's office says suspected child predators can be reported by calling the Child Predator Hotline at 1-800-385-1044.
