Abbi Jacobson starring in 'Simpsons' creator's upcoming Netflix show 'Disenchantment'

A new show from the mind of Matt Groening, who brought the world the hit TV series "The Simpsons" and "Futurama," is set to hit TV sets, er, computer screens everywhere next year.

Netflix has signed on for 20 episodes of Groening's "Disenchantment," another animated comedy fantasy, that will premiere with 10 episodes at a time starting in 2018.

The show will star Wayne's own Abbi Jacobson, the actress/comedian known for co-starring and creating Comedy Central's "Broad City," as Bean, a "hard-drinking" young princess with her elf sidekick Elfo and "personal demon Luci" as they head out on adventures in Dreamland while running into ogres, imps, trolls and many more along the way, Netflix announced in a release Tuesday.

"Disenchantment will be about life and death, love and sex, and how to keep laughing in a world full of suffering and idiots, despite what the elders and wizards and other jerks tell you," Groening said in the release.

Actor/comedian Eric Andre will voice Luci, while Nat Faxon, of "The Way, Way Back," will voice Elfo. Groening and Josh Weinstein, also of "The Simpsons" and "Futurama," will serve as the executive producers of "Disenchantment."

The fourth season of "Broad City" will air on Comedy Central on Sept. 13. Check out a trailer below.
