This week marked more than three decades since Live Aid, a day-long charity concert for famine relief in Africa, drew in the attention of millions across the world.
The big day, sometimes called "Eighties Woodstock," took place 32 years ago on July 13, 1985, with two main events happening simultaneously at London's Wembley Stadium and the former John F. Kennedy Stadium in Philadelphia.
Thousands – 90,000 in Philly, alone – attended the concerts that brought in stars like Eric Clapton in Philly, David Bowie in the U.K. and Phil Collins who made the transcontinental trek to perform in both cities.
But, even more watched. About 1.5 billion people from 100 different countries tuned to their TV sets to watch the concert that raised $245 million for the good cause.
Whether you were there or not even born yet, here are some pictures of the excitement captured by the Associated Press. Prepare for a throwback.
