Grandmother says 9-year-old Bucks County girl shot with BB gun is fine

The girl was flown to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia out of caution.

A nine-year-old girl was flown to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia on Saturday after she was shot with a BB gun in Hulmeville, Bucks County. 


The incident occurred just before 3:30 p.m. on the 900 block of Bellevue Avenue, 6 ABC reports. 

According to police, the girl was hit in the chest when a 21-year-old family member shot at her with the BB gun. She was rushed to St. Mary Medical Center before being flown to CHOP. 

The girl's grandmother told 6 ABC that she is now fine and was only taken to CHOP out of caution.
