Boyfriend of 4-year-old North Philadelphia shooting victim's mother reportedly turns self in

More details on the shooting death of a 4-year-old North Philadelphia girl have come to light as the boyfriend of the child’s mother reportedly turned himself into police as the alleged owner of the weapon, 6ABC reports.

Demetrius Williams is expected to face involuntary manslaughter and reckless endangerment charges. The child, who wasn't named, reportedly found the gun in a closet and shot herself in the eye, leading to her death.

Previous reports noted that the child’s 3-year-old sibling and their mother, 25-year-old Shakeia Holmes, were witnesses to the shooting.

Earlier in the week, Holmes was charged with third-degree murder related to her daughter's death.
