South Street Spring Festival returns for its fourth year bigger than before. The free, outdoor festival will take over an additional three blocks along South Street, bringing the total to 12 blocks, on Saturday, May 7. Find all activities and festivities from Front to Eighth streets and branching off from Second and South streets, heading toward Pine Street.
The outdoor, all-ages block party will feature more than 30 participating bars and restaurants, over 125 shopping vendors and more than 40 bands on three stages. Headhouse Plaza will again become a grassy concert lawn, complete with lawn chairs and springtime games. PhillyVoice is a proud sponsor of the festival.

Brauhaus Schmitz's German Maifest and Atomic City Comics' Comic Book Day are also both back, in conjunction with the festival.
On the 700 block of South Street, Maifest will feature German beers, dancers, music, food, a VIP area and (of course) a Maypole. While outside of Atomic City Comics, at 638 South Street, there will be free giveaways and superhero sightings.
The entire festival aims for all-ages fun, but kids will have their own area in an expanded Kid Zone with face painting and games.
South Street Spring Festival begins at 11 a.m. and lasts until 8 p.m.
