The 2016 Atlantic City Seafood Festival will take place for two days, beginning on Sept. 10 at Bader Field in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
So far, almost 20 restaurants have signed on to bring signature seafood dishes, bites and specials to the family-friendly event. The Continental Atlantic City, Dock's Oyster House, Phillips Seafood, Palm Restaurant and other recognizable names are in the mix.
Local breweries will have brews on hand to wash down all the shrimp, crabs, fish and lobster. Food and drink will be pay-as-you-go, with price points ranging from $3 to $12.
In between all the eating and drinking, there will be wine seminars and cooking demonstrations for guests to check out.
Admission to the festival is $5; anyone under age 12 is free. The event is also pet-friendly, and dogs are encouraged to dress up for a costume contest on Sept. 11 at 3 p.m.
A portion of the general admission proceeds will benefit The Community Food Bank of New Jersey, while entries to the pet costume contest benefit The Humane Society of Atlantic County.
Parking is free on-site at Bader Field.
