During the holiday season, there are a few traditions guaranteed to put even the Grinches and Scrooges of the family in the Christmas spirit.
Baking cookies, listening to Christmas music, decorating the tree and watching holiday films are a few of the easiest ways to get excited for Dec. 25.

This year, Winterfest at the Delaware River Waterfront is hosting a 12 Days of Christmas movie marathon. The film selections range from family favorites like "Elf" and "The Santa Clause" to edgier picks like "Bad Santa."
Here's the schedule:
• Wednesday, Dec. 14 – "A Christmas Carol" (2009)
• Thursday, Dec. 15 – "The Santa Clause"
• Friday, Dec. 16 – "A Madea Christmas"
• Saturday, Dec. 17 – "Love Actually"
• Sunday, Dec. 18 – "The Holiday"
• Monday, Dec. 19 – "Christmas Eve"
• Tuesday, Dec. 20 – "This Christmas"
• Wednesday, Dec. 21 – "Dolly Parton's Christmas of Many Colors: Circle of Love"
• Thursday, Dec. 22 – "The Best Man Holiday"
• Friday, Dec. 23 – "National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation"
• Saturday, Dec. 24 – "Bad Santa"
• Sunday, Dec. 25 – "Elf"
All films begin at 8 p.m. in the Winterfest Lodge. There are couches, chairs and picnic tables for guests to sit on inside. The movies will be projected on a large screen for everyone to see.
Food and drink, including hot chocolate and beer, can be found inside the Lodge.
