Everyone loves a good brunch, but since when does Mother's Day have to be celebrated with some late-morning reservations in a packed restaurant? There are plenty of ways to honor the women in your life without waiting an hour or two for a table at your closest trendy eatery.

Check out the list of alternative options below, then make the mom in your life breakfast in bed instead.

Mother's Day May Manicure Special

Mothers (or daughters) who get a haircut and pedicure at Laurentius Salon during the month of May will receive a complimentary manicure. Celebrity hairstylist, and the salon's namesake, Laurentius Purnama is known for getting clients like Britney Spears ready for their close up.

Mother's Day at Penns Woods Winery

With a weekend of mom-centric activities, Penns Woods Winery will host live music and food for guests. Saturday's events include a $45 two-hour painting class, glass of wine included, and Sunday includes a $50 hour-long yoga class with a wine pairing.

Art Star Craft Bazaar

The 12th annual juried art and craft fair returns for a special Mother's Day weekend. They'll host make-and-take craft areas, live music, food and, of course, tons of shopping.

Mother's Day Event with Shelley Spector

Local art scene fixture Shelley Spector's "Keep the Home Fires Burning" exhibit is inspired in part by mother-daughter relationships. Spector will take guests on a tour of the exhibit with her own mother. Afterward, guests will be served afternoon tea.

Mother's Day Tea Ceremony

Mother's Day Concert

The 4th Annual Marian Concert is dedicated to the Virgin Mary and features the works of Howells, Bruckner and Bach. The Cathedral Basilica Choir, Archdiocesan Choir, Archdiocesan Girls Choir and Archdiocesan Boys Choir will all perform.
