Cake Life Bake Shop is a bakery and all-day café on Frankford Avenue.
Nima Etemadi and Lily Fischer are moving their full-scale baking operation to a new location. For the past few years, the pair have been creating wedding cakes from their bakery in Port Richmond's mixed-use building Globe Dye Works. On Saturday, Nov. 5, they will officially open Cake Life Bake Shop, a bakery and all-day café, on Frankford Avenue in Fishtown.
While wedding and special-occasion cakes will still be a staple of the bakery, Cake Life will also have a full menu of savory and sweet pastries. Think cookies, scones, pies, muffins, cake slices, whole cakes to-go, brownies, tarts and croissants. View the full menu here.
To pair with the treats, there will be coffee from Rival Bros. Or, to make the visit a celebration, bring an alcoholic beverage to the shop.
The café encourages guests to BYOB, "whether it’s a bottle of Champagne to toast over slices of rich cake, or bottles of beer to knock back with a few savory sausage rolls," according to Cake Life's press release.
The shop will be open Tuesday through Thursday from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 7 a.m. until 10 p.m. and Sunday from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.
