Kevin Hart is a Rudy-like figure in basketball, a diminutive man who managed four times to win the MVP trophy in the NBA's All-Star Celebrity Game. It's a pretty impressive accomplishment considering the annual exhibition features more defense than the actual NBA All-Star Game.
This year, the Philly native missed out on the game, possibly because he's been busy filming "Untouchable" in his hometown with Bryan Cranston, but that doesn't mean he's suddenly above it, even if he could be.
Despite his decorated career as a celebrity basketball player, Hart is still fixated on one embarrassing moment at the hands of 15-year-old Mo'ne Davis, the local legend of Little League baseball's Taney Dragons.
As many of us vividly remember, Davis destroyed Hart with a vicious crossover and spin move to the basket during the 2015 All-Star Celebrity Game. In a losing effort, Hart still took home his fourth and final MVP, but Mo'ne seems to have put his playing days to rest. The next year, Hart was a coach in the game, as if he didn't want to go for a fifth MVP.
In a spoof "30 for 30" series ESPN recently launched — including a Christmas jab at Philly fans — Hart claims Mo'ne's moves were illegitimate. He's got a bright future ahead of him in fake news.
