For two days, beginning Saturday, May 21, South Ninth Street's Italian Market will host a neighborhood festival. The streets will be lined with more than 100 vendors offering traditional Italian fare and a variety of food, drink and shopping options.
Find both a beer garden and a wine garden to quench your thirst while browsing along the street. Besides providing attendees will gelato, fresh cheeses, produce, paninis and handmade chocolates, among other food, both dates will offer family-friendly events.
On Saturday, May 21, at 9 a.m., the annual John Marzano Half Ball Tournament will begin. Then, on Sunday, May 22, the annual Procession of Saints will take off at 11 a.m. Look out for car shows, contests, crafts, a family fun zone and a pet zone at the festival, too. Live entertainment will be provided on both dates.
