Former (then) St. Louis Rams and New England Patriots defensive end Chris Long appears to be joining the Philadelphia Eagles, according to Long himself.

Long has played nine season in the NFL. The first eight were with the Rams, after he was the second overall pick in the 2008 NFL draft. He played one year with the Patriots in 2016, earning a Super Bowl ring.
After the Eagles released Connor Barwin in a money-saving move, they were left with a gaping hole at defensive end. Long turned 32 years old today, and should provide defensive line depth. He is more of a traditional 4-3 defensive end than Barwin, although like Barwin, Long's career is in its waning stages.
Here are Long's career numbers:
Chris Long | Tackles | Sacks | FF | FR |
2008 | 40 | 4 | 1 | 1 |
2009 | 43 | 5 | 1 | 0 |
2010 | 29 | 8.5 | 3 | 1 |
2011 | 37 | 13 | 1 | 0 |
2012 | 33 | 11.5 | 0 | 0 |
2013 | 40 | 8.5 | 1 | 2 |
2014 | 5 | 1 | 0 | 1 |
2015 | 19 | 3 | 1 | 0 |
2016 | 35 | 4 | 1 | 1 |
TOTAL | 281 | 58.5 | 9 | 6 |
The move is not yet official, and money detail are not yet known. We will update when they become available.
