Over the past few years, Sixers fans were by and large geared up for the draft at this point of the season out of necessity because, frankly, the NBA product wasn’t very interesting. Now, with Joel Embiid and eventually Ben Simmons in the fold, the calculus has changed a little bit.
The Sixers are currently pulling off the difficult combination of being both fairly interesting while also still remaining toward the bottom of the standings. At 9-24, they currently own the second-worst record in basketball.
With a couple of potential high draft picks in mind, Philly Mag’s Derek Bodner and I talked about our impressions of the top NBA Draft prospects as conference season has started to kick off: Markelle Fultz, Josh Jackson, Lonzo Ball, Dennis Smith and a whole bunch more.
