As we wrote about earlier in the week when Brandon Ingram came into Philly for a visit, projected No. 1 overall pick Ben Simmons hasn’t worked out for the Sixers yet.
Despite the fact that Simmons went on Australian radio the other day and flat-out said he wants to be the No. 1 overall pick, people have run with this story. Now there is supposedly "a standoff" between Simmons’ camp and the Sixers, despite there being no real evidence of such.
With Max abroad, Philly Mag’s Derek Bodner, Liberty Ballers’ Kyle Neubeck, and I discussed Simmons’ pre-draft decisions. We also talk about Kris Dunn refusing to work out for anyone, for slightly different reasons than Simmons. Finally, there is some Joel Embiid talk mixed in with listener questions.
(FYI: We’re going to try and record a few podcasts over the next seven days, considering the interest level should be pretty high.)
