'Shark Tank' is holding an open casting call at Rivers Casino in Philadelphia on Friday, April 11. The ABC reality show last recruited talent in the city in 2017. Past contestants from the area include Aaron Krause of Scrub Daddy.

Philly company with kid-safe cardboard-cutting saw to appear on 'Shark Tank'

ChompShop, a Philly-based company that created a kid-safe cardboard-cutting saw, will appear on ABC's "Shark Tank" on Friday at 8 p.m. The tool was created by Penn graduates Kausi Raman and Max Liechty.

Founder of Topsail Steamer, which sells one-pot seafood meals, to appear on 'Shark Tank'

Topsail Steamer, which sells one-pot seafood menus to be heated up at home, will be featured on 'Shark Tank' on Friday, Oct. 25. Topsail Steamer founder Danielle Mahon, who grew up in New Jersey, went on the show seeking an investment to help the chain grow. It has 10 locations, including four at the Jersey Shore.

Drexel alum gets 'Shark Tank' deal for sauce brand Fila Manila

Fila Manila, a sauce brand that celebrates Filipino flavors, got an investment on ABC's 'Shark Tank' after founder and Drexel University graduate Jake Deleon appeared on the show. Fila Manila's condiments include a banana-based ketchup, ube purple yam and coconut spread, adobo marinade and sauce, creamy peanut sauce, and pineapple rum sauce. Investor Daniel Lubetzky gave Deleon $250,000 in exchange for a 20% ownership stake in Fila Manila.

Delco-based smoothie company scores investment deal on 'Shark Tank'

Delaware County-based smoothie vending machine proprietors Peter and Stuart Shapiro received an investment during their appearance on 'Shark Tank.' The Wynnewood natives secured a $25,000 investment plus an additional $500,000 line of credit for a 35% stake of their company from Lori Greiner and Daniel Lubetzky.

Delco-based smoothie vending machines to appear on 'Shark Tank'

Bleni Blends, a Delaware County-based smoothie vending machine company, will pitch on Friday night's episode of ABC's 'Shark Tank,' which airs at 8 p.m. The brand, owned by Wynnewood natives Peter and Stuart Shapiro, has 17 machines in the Philadelphia region.

Jersey Shore couple's Sunflow beach chair lands $1 million 'Shark Tank' deal

Sunflow, the high-end beach chair brand developed by New Jersey couple Leslie Hsu and Greg Besner, struck a deal with investor Kevin O'Leary during an appearance on the hit ABC series "Shark Tank." The company's portable beach chairs can be purchased as part of a bundle with several accessories including a sun shade, drink holder and water resistant bag for personal items.

Philly-based salad company featured on 'Shark Tank' strikes deal with Wawa amid soaring sales

Simply Good Jars, a pre-prepared salad company based in Philadelphia, has seen massive success since it was featured on an episode of 'Shark Tank' last year. The company has now stuck a deal with Wawa, which will start selling the jarred product at 30 of its locations.
