Police are investigating after a woman died on the street in Society Hill Saturday morning.
The woman, believed to be in her 50s, was found on the 500 block of South 5th Street around 10:39 a.m.
She was unresponsive when authorities arrived. Medics attempted to revive her but were unsuccessful and she was pronounced dead at 10:45 a.m.
The woman, a "Jane Doe," has only been identified as a black female.
Authorities are still investigating.
