For the past seven years, North 2nd Street has played host to one of the biggest free festivals in the city. The 2nd Street Festival is back on Aug. 2 from noon through 10 p.m. with art, crafts, food, beer and three stages of live music.
This year’s festival includes more than 150 vendors who will set up shop between Green Street and Germantown Avenue, along with 20 bands playing throughout the day (DJs will also be on hand). This year’s roster of live music includes everyone from Dogs on Acid and Tin Horses to New Sound Brass Band and Marque Wyatt and more.
Expect to taste some of the best dishes from the most sought-after food trucks in Philly, and an official Art Star pop-up shop with cool handmade arts and crafts by talented local artists. There are kid’s workshops to entertain the little ones.
As the organizers say, the festival takes place rain, shine or snow. Yes, snow.
