Part of the territory that comes with life as a public figure is dealing with people who object to your views, sometimes in a personal and malicious manner.
Pennsylvania Rep. Brian Sims (D-Philadelphia) today handled a Facebook troll about as creatively and shrewdly as anyone might have hoped for under such repulsive circumstances.
Sims, an openly gay politician, received a hateful post on his Facebook page Wednesday that simply read, "N----- f-----," from a user whose last name has since been blurred out.
The response was priceless, as seen below in Sims' own Facebook post.
“David, I can’t tell if you’re just a really dumb little boy or an angry bigot but I know for sure that you shouldn’t have posted your grandmother’s telephone number on your Facebook page so many times,” Sims responded on Facebook. "She and I just had a very disappointing chat about you. We'll talk soon."
Support for Sims' reaction poured in on social media, where he received thousands of Facebook likes and plenty of praise on Twitter.

@BrianSimsPA is the god of my idolatry. In related news, tirade-prone #deplorables, don't list your grandma's phone number on your profile.

We can only imagine David will be making this one up to his grandmother for the foreseeable future.
