As elected officials tend to go, Pennsylvania state Sen. Daylin Leach is a special guy.
Not many politicians, other than Donald Trump, would be willing to throw caution completely to the wind on Twitter the way Leach, a Montgomery County Democrat, has made a name for doing over the past few months.
Leach's attacks against Trump began with the legendary "fascist, loofah-face, s---gibbon" comment he unloaded in February, daring the president to come after him. A few days later, his insult having become a topic of national discussion (and drawings), Leach suggested the White House have a straightjacket on hand and that a psychiatrist be brought in to attend to Trump's dubious mental stability.
The president announced this weekend he will be coming to Harrisburg next weekend for a big rally to mark his first 100 days in office.

Facing intense criticism over a stalled agenda and scrutiny over his Russian ties, Trump is expected to recharge support in a key battleground state that helped secure his path to the White House.
Leach, unimpressed and in a mood to keep the jokes coming, fired off a pair of tweets over the weekend poking fun at the president's positions and plans.
The first refers to Trump's seeming support for far-right French presidential candidate Marine La Pen, whose populist National Front movement bears some similarities to Trump's constituency, though in a vastly different sociopolitical context.

White House Chief of Staff Reince Priebus attempted to walk that perception back on Sunday after the President told the Associated Press he feels La Pen is "the strongest on what's been going on in France."

We can only hope these two really do meet before 2020.
