Marvin Harrison and Terrell Owens, two of the greatest receivers of all-time who also have Philly connections, were both eligible for the Hall of Fame in 2016. And after waiting two years, Harrison will be enshrined in Canton while Owens didn’t get elected his first time on the ballot.
After T.O. did just a little complaining about the process, the former Roman Catholic star isn’t impressed with the guy who caught 14 touchdowns for the Eagles in 2014. From Talk of Fame Radio:
“I’m not concerned about, you know, T.O. Not one bit. I was concerned about myself. I wasn’t worried about splitting the vote with anyone. That was it.
“The person who was supposed to get in got in. And that was me. If he didn’t get in, that’s his problem. He can talk all that other bullshit like he’s been doing. That’s on him. But I’m in. My jacket is gold. I will look in the rear view for nobody.
“So he can get his ass in whenever he gets in … if he gets in. If he doesn’t get in too bad. The hell with him.’’
Judging by those comments, I can’t imagine that Harrison will show up when Owens gets his gold jacket next year. Let's just leave Owens' response here and, uh, yeah:
Shots fired. 😂😂😂 https://t.co/KqcIHbcsAY
