Each year, students from local high schools team up with the Philadelphia Theatre Company to put on an expressive, creative performance that is totally student-run called "Philly Reality." This year's performance will occur March 17 and March 19 at the Suzanne Roberts Theatre.

The students begin this creative process by creating original monologues which they turn into performance pieces. They then work with PTC's Teaching Artists to develop it into a stage show, complete with lighting and sound design. Through the project, students get to experience all aspects of a theatrical production from acting to producing.

On March 17 students from Lincoln High School, the Philadelphia High School for the Creative and Performing Arts and ActOut Saturday will perform. Multi-Cultural Academy Charter School and World Communications Charter School students will take the stage March 19.

The shows are free to the public -- though you can also RSVP online -- so checking out this young talent is a breeze.
