It's been more than a decade since Dave Chappelle had some new material for his fans to watch.
The comedian left his hit series, "Chappelle's Show" in 2005 then prompting a yearslong leave from the public eye. But Tuesday was a new day – Netflix released two never-before-seen specials filmed in Austin and Los Angeles in 2015 and 2016.
It's not a total surprise for fans paying attention. Netflix announced in November 2016 that they would be releasing three new specials from the comedian this year.
The two performances that are anything but PG-rated were Chappelle's first specials in 12 years.
During Chappelle's L.A. performance, titled "The Age of Spin," a very familiar name was mentioned. In the last 10 minutes of the set (spoiler alert), Chappelle took some time to rag on Kevin Hart, the actor/comedian who hails from North Philadelphia.
Chappelle first made a reference to the bizarre beef between Hart and Katt Williams. Then he told the story of his 12-year-old son begging him to see Hart's live show, where tickets ran cost $125 each. Chappelle said that as he realized how much the fans adored Hart and how much money he was making, he got a little upset ... and a jealous.
That was made even worse when Hart gifted his son a free jersey with "K-Hart" stitched on its back.
"Oh, that was some cold s--- and then I realized what Kevin made on Google, I couldn't believe that s---," he said during the performance. "Kevin is the first comedian that a Drake song could be about. Kevin could walk around his house and sing, 'All Me' and the whole song would still be true."
The jokes seemed to be all in good fun, however. Hart called the bit "amazing" during an impromptu "ask me anything" on Twitter on Friday. He listed Chappelle as one of his favorite comedians, too, though it's not the first time.
