The 2016 Broad Street Run on May 1 is quickly approaching. For those planning on running the 10-mile race, the grueling training is almost over and the post-race endorphins are on their way. Post-race celebrations are also on the way, including a free tailgate in FDR Park, which is conveniently located near the Broad Street Run finish line.
Philadelphia Runner will host the tailgate at the boathouse in the northern area of the park. There will be free Shake Shack hot dogs and grilled cheese, PDQ chicken and beer from Yards Brewing Co.
Besides free food to fuel up on, there will be cool-down sessions with RippedPHL, and Phila Massages will be offering massages for sore runners. From 10 a.m. to noon, there will also be games and music.
Those who want to attend should stop by any Philadelphia Runner store location this week to grab a free ticket.
