Well, he was joking.
Joel Embiid did a “ride along” in Philadelphia with Vice Sports and touched on a lot of subjects in a 4:30 span, including:
• How he used to be bad when he started playing in Cameroon, except he didn’t say “bad.”
• How when Kansas coach Bill Self first saw him play, he knew Embiid was going to be the No. 1 pick.
• How he used to “go pretty nuts” on Twitter, and how he might start tweeting more if he keeps playing.
• And finally, how he drinks Shirley Temples by the pitcher.
