Here's one Philadelphia institution that knew it just couldn't miss the Pope's visit: Wawa.
Wawa's new Center City store will be opening two months early in order to welcome the Pope.
It announced tentatively that it plans to open a flagship store on Broad and Walnut streets on September 18, the Philadelphia Business Journal reported.
The World Meeting of Family begins just days later, on September 22. A previous report said that Wawa officials were trying to move up the opening date of the store in time for the visit.
The huge Center City convenience store will be 5,000 square feet in size and include indoor seating. They'll need all that space, as up to two million people are expected to come to the city to see Pope Francis.
