This year, the Hot Chocolate 5k and 15k will take place on April 1. Runners of all ages are invited to this race that ends with both a chocolate bar-shaped medal and real, edible chocolate.
Hot chocolate and chocolate fondue (equipped with marshmallows, bananas, pretzels and other dip-able snacks) will be across the finish line, giving participants motivation to pick up the pace.
There are more goodies for participants, too. A zip-up jacket is included with race packets.
Individual registration for the 5k starts at $49, while registration for the 15k starts at $69. The Philadelphia Ronald McDonald House is the race's charity partner.
