Pennsylvania's best ice cream is right in Old City, according to Business Insider.
In a list released Wednesday, Business Insider named Franklin Fountain at 116 Market Street the best ice cream shop in the state.
The list, which named the best ice cream place in each state, was based on Foursquare users' likes, saves, shares, tip sentiment, and more.
"The Franklin Fountain brings back the authentic soda fountains of old-school Philadelphia," Business Insider said. "Folks from all over Philly come for sundaes, splits, cups and cones at the beloved shop."
Franklin Fountain, which offers a choice of 25 soda flavors, is also known for its ice cream sodas. The ice cream soda was invented in Philadelphia in 1874. Visitors can enjoy a root beer float or try a "Ladies Choice," made with raspberry soda, peach ice cream and sweet cream.
