The Philadelphia Eagles have themselves a shiny new No. 1 wide receiver. As first reported by Josina Anderson of ESPN, Alshon Jeffery has a "done deal" to play in Philly.
WR Alshon Jeffery just called me directly and said it is a "done deal" that he will go to the #Eagles

Interestingly, Jeffery deal is only for one year.
WR Alshon Jeffery is a 1-year deal for $14M to #Eagles.

With a one-year deal, the Eagles cannot backload the contract. If that $14 million figure does not include incentives to be paid later, the Eagles will have to cut players to fit him under the salary cap.
Jeffery is a legitimate "No. 1 receiver." Over his last four seasons, he is averaging just under 80 receiving yards per game. He's a big target in the red zone at 6'3, 218, and he does a great job on 50-50 balls down the field. Jeffery would give the Eagles' passing offense an instant and significant boost.
Earlier, the Eagles signed former Raven and 49er Torrey Smith.
