One word has seemed to define the Sixers' rebuilding process over the past three years: process.
It has become such a rallying cry for Hinkie disciples that "trust the process" is almost a way to identify yourself as a believer in the team's longterm plan.
Well, another NBA franchise has tagged the saying for itself. The Portland Trailblazers, fresh off of losing key pieces like LaMarcus Aldridge and Wesley Matthews, have made "trust the process" the description in their Twitter bio (h/t Crossing Broad):
Now, the origin of the saying didn't come directly from the Sixers. It actually started from Michael Levin and Spike Eskin, hosts of the popular Sixers podcast Rights To Ricky Sanchez.
Eskin, fresh off of lambasting the National Hot Dog and Sausage Council on what a sandwich is and is not, wasted no time mocking the Blazers:
.@trailblazers either stop using "Trust The Process" or use quotes and give the Sixers credit. Or us. Pick us.

As did Levin:

The Blazers and Sixers don't play until January, when Portland will face off against still winless Philadelphia and process-truster Jahlil Okafor:
