After a whole bunch of speculation about whether College GameDay would be in Philadelphia for Temple-Notre Dame or Pullman, Washington for Washington State-Stanford, the results are in and Owls fans have reason to celebrate. Lee Corso, Kirk Herbstreit, and the rest of the GameDay crew will be in town on Saturday morning for the wildly popular pre-game show/gigantic party:
We're coming to Philly! See you Saturday, @Temple_FB and @NDFootball. pic.twitter.com/g0EVhjJMAn

College GameDay will broadcast from outside Independence Hall Saturday for Notre Dame at Temple. Congrats, @KNegandhiESPN! Fun times!

What a scene that should be. On another note, what an amazing accomplishment for Matt Rhule's program. Sure, playing the Golden Domers greatly influenced the decision, but I certainly never thought that Temple would ever get a chance to host the show.
The last and only time that Philadelphia hosted GameDay was all the way back in 2002 when ESPN broadcasted from Franklin Field for a Harvard-Penn game.
