It’s no secret that Mike Trout is both the best baseball player in the world and a gigantic Philadelphia Eagles fan. Trout doesn’t tweet all that much, but pretty much every gameday, you can see him chime in with one these:

Trout spends a good bit of his offseason in his native South Jersey, which just so happens to be near where Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz lives. Thanks to some Twitter sleuthing, there were some spottings of Trout and Wentz hunting together over the holidays. And now, via the Sea Isle Times, there is photographic evidence of the Eagles quarterback and Angels outfielder hanging out in Avalon:
I know what you’re thinking. Heck, I’m thinking about it, too. But in terms of a possible recruiting pitch, Trout won’t be a free agent until after the 2020 season, a long way off. The good news for Phillies fans is that Wentz, Trout’s apparent new buddy, has a decent chance of still being in the Delaware Valley at that time as well.
