Visiting the American Girl store in New York – and if you're lucky, going home with a signature American Girl doll of your own – is a memory that many children and now-adults hold dear to their hearts.
But let’s be honest, the trek to New York for out-of-state guests can be daunting, especially during the holiday season when the city is more crowded and chaotic than usual.
Soon, local American Girl fans will be able to visit and shop at a store much closer to home: A pop-up American Girl store is set to open in the King of Prussia Mall in Pennsylvania from Sept. 10, 2016, through Jan. 31, 2017.
That means it will be open throughout the 2016 holiday season.
According to the American Girl website, the opening weekend, Sept. 10-11, will be a two-day extravaganza with freebies and activities.
