3 people charged in alleged assault of off-duty police officer in North Philly; Another suspect remains on the run

Three people wanted for the alleged assault of an off-duty Philadelphia police officer are now in custody. Cian Dennis, Yusef Coleman and Khamil Brown have all been charged; police are still searching for Arthur Jones, 38. Officer Eric Rodriguez was allegedly assaulted as he returned home from work on Sunday, May 12, 2024.

A 23-year-old woman led police on a chase from Wilmington, Delaware, to Chester, Pennsylvania, after authorities tried to arrest her for her involvement last year in a shooting. The woman was shot and killed by police while attempting to flee in a car after she had crashed another vehicle in Chester.

Pro-Palestine protesters march through University City after Penn encampment disbandment

After police disbanded an encampment on the University of Pennsylvania's campus Friday morning demonstrators took to the streets near Penn and eventually in front of Penn interim president J. Larry Jameson's house. Police responded to protesters who breached the front gates.
